06 - Open Heavens 2019 - Day 3 Session 2

• June 5, 2019

This Open Heavens session begins as an interactive review of Israel’s feasts and the tabernacle. Participants and leaders discuss whether the feasts belong to Israel alone, how Christians participate in them, and how Passover, unleavened bread and firstfruits relate to Christ’s death, holiness and resurrection. First Corinthians 5 is read slowly and repeatedly, alongside an appeal to take notes and retain earlier teaching.

Questions then address access to truth, financial freedom and the purpose of Christian life. A speaker places seeking the kingdom ahead of personal benefits and recommends regular Bible reading, focused prayer and obedience. The panel considers whether infrastructure and education belong in kingdom service. Examples of Christian schools and homeschooling lead to strong criticism of secular curricula and children’s technology use; these views and anecdotal claims should remain attributed.

After worship, a further teaching discusses changing ages, divine government and the day of the Lord. Later captions become extremely fragmentary, although portions of Matthew 24, Second Peter 3 and Isaiah 13 remain recognizable. The record therefore supports a fuller account of the opening discussion than of the final teaching; missing or garbled material should not be reconstructed.
