After thanking God for fresh mercy and asking for help against whatever weakens fellowship with him, the speaker resumes at Galatians 1:15. Paul’s calling is presented as a work of grace whose purpose is the revelation of Christ and ministry to the Gentiles. The discussion of Peter and Cornelius then introduces the tension between receiving Gentile believers and retaining circumcision-based social boundaries. The speaker emphasizes inward reception of Christ rather than making an outward religious practice a condition of salvation. The reading continues through Paul’s account of his travels and the churches’ response to his transformation from persecutor to preacher, then into Galatians 2:1-3. The speaker treats this record as an invitation for listeners to examine their own response to God’s call, patient formation and progress in faith. Paul’s return to Jerusalem by revelation, his companions and the fact that Titus was not compelled to be circumcised provide the setting for the next practical emphasis. The closing section focuses on Paul’s private communication with people of reputation. The speaker extends this into an application about sensitivity to people’s position, readiness and maturity when sharing faith, encouraging dependence on the Holy Spirit for the manner as well as the content of ministry. Paul’s personal history is finally described as support for the credibility of his coming correction. The episode ends with prayer for wisdom in answering people, strength in truth and God’s empowering work.

Know Christ more deeply. Father, deepen my knowledge of Christ so that my service flows from what you have made known in him.
Welcome others in Christ. Lord, search my heart for barriers that make it harder to receive fellow believers; teach me to value inward faithfulness.
Respond faithfully over time. Help me recognize your grace in my journey, respond to your call and remain teachable through seasons of formation.
Speak with wisdom. Holy Spirit, give me wisdom about what to say, how to say it and when a private conversation will serve someone best.
