Positioning Your Heart for Divine Encounter

Chinyere Isibor • April 14, 2026 • 13 views

Come before God to receive him and be changed, with gratitude for his goodness and enduring mercy. Welcome the Holy Spirit, reject distraction, and ask the Father to reveal himself through his word. Knowing God must become an experienced reality of his love rather than a claim made without encounter. Prepare a believing, fertile, and teachable heart that can receive correction without taking offense. Seek the nourishment that produces spiritual maturity, and pray for understanding and utterance for those bringing the word needed for the present moment. Learn to become quiet inwardly and attend to the witness of the Holy Spirit. An alarming report can disturb outward emotions while a deeper peace remains, so bring the heart before God and ask for discernment rather than immediately following the first reaction. Receive the Spirit’s training to listen, be led, and recognize the truth being brought to you. Focus requires intention even when outward attention appears steady. Ask God to draw the mind into what he is saying and to expose the places where distraction still interrupts hearing. Revisit the foundations of faith until the position, understanding, and life of the new creation become settled realities in the heart. Jesus rose from the dead and was taken bodily into heaven; his resurrection opens the expectation of the life promised to his people. The disciples’ question about restoring the kingdom to Israel introduces a renewed examination of what believers understand about the kingdom and God’s power. Receive familiar truths deeply enough that they change how you relate to the material world, rather than allowing foundational knowledge to remain information that has never taken root.
