Confidence in Prayer, Faith, and the Finished Work of Christ

Chinyere Isibor • May 19, 2026 • 15 views

Make time in God’s presence non-negotiable. Hearing truth must lead to abiding, prayer, and the Spirit’s transforming work rather than exaggerated language or knowledge without substance. Revisit foundational teaching until it becomes stable practice, grow together as a community, and refuse the falsehood, division, and impurity that oppose God’s purpose. The name of Jesus represents His person, salvation, resurrection, and authority; its power does not depend on a particular pronunciation or on sound alone. Meditate on the name, attend to the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and keep confidence centered on Jesus rather than on the intensity of a problem. Christ has borne sin and kept humanity’s appointment with death; reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to God. Receive righteousness, healing, and freedom from the fear of death as provisions of His finished work, and move from merely memorizing these truths to inward conviction through quiet meditation. Pray to the Father in Jesus’ name, according to His will, with confidence that He hears. Tongues are communication with God, so bring the heart and attention into His presence. When fear presses in, contend with it, identify the Scripture or song through which peace comes, and remain there until the heart becomes settled enough to receive divine instruction. Like David at Ziklag, seek God’s word for the situation and obey it rather than proceeding in panic. God’s power first brings salvation and then builds the believer through many expressions of the Spirit. Miracles and material answers do not by themselves constitute maturity; pursue the transformation of temperament, desires, thought, and bodily conduct into the image of Christ. Groaning in the Spirit is connected with practical liberty from corruption and a present participation in the life for which creation waits. Be intentional about feeding on Scripture and cooperating with the Spirit, who works with the truth received within. Keep asking for mercy, even after failure: God’s goodness calls forth love, reverence, and freedom from sin rather than permission to continue in it. Bring weakness and habitual sin before Jesus, give thanks for His sacrifice, and yield to His power to cleanse, restore, and make the life useful to Him.
