Live and serve from God’s rest. Humanity’s original calling joins dominion with dependence on God, and the Melchizedek order of priesthood is the pattern for administering his life and government on earth. The Levitical order provides temporary types and shadows; Christ reveals the living pattern to which those shadows point. Come to him, learn his meekness and lowliness, and recover a way of life governed by his presence rather than the anxious struggle associated with the fall. Priesthood is a call into rest and responsible service, not merely a religious title. Build the spiritual strength required to walk as Jesus walked. New-creation identity contains real potential, but mature expression requires growth, the Word of grace, prayer in the Holy Spirit, and the equipping ministry given to the church. Immerse yourself in the Spirit and develop faith, sight, peace, joy, and patience before measuring capacity by money, education, or public influence. Draw from the well of salvation with joy, maintain inward peace amid pressure, and learn to bear with others without compromise. Christ’s life is to grow until its overflow expresses his character and priestly service to creation. Seek the kingdom and righteousness first, receiving material provision as a resource for God’s assignment. Prosperity includes growth in the life and virtues of God and must not be reduced to materialism. The soul finds rest as divine realities dwell within it, worldly striving loses control, and God gains a humble, responsive dwelling place. Test this growth by the heart’s response to hardship, money, disappointment, and opposition: trust and peace can remain when external conditions are unsettled. Receive the call to a shared priesthood for God’s purposes, build yourself through the Word and Spirit, and become a person through whom he can dwell, work, and govern.
Father, teach me to enter your rest and serve from your presence rather than anxiety and self-generated striving.
Build my faith through your Word and through prayer in the Holy Spirit.
Give me spiritual sight and maturity to walk as Jesus walked and carry out my priestly assignment.
Fill me with spiritual joy so that I can draw from the well of salvation in difficult seasons.
Establish your peace within me when circumstances, opposition, or uncertainty press on my life.
Teach me patience with others and strengthen me to stand without compromising my faith.
Shift my priorities toward your kingdom and righteousness; make material provision serve your purposes.
Form a humble and responsive heart in which you can dwell and work.
Bring your church into mature, shared priestly service for the freedom and blessing of creation.
