The Fear of the Lord as the Foundation of Your Life

• April 16, 2026 • 44 views

Every claimed revelation of Christ must remain accountable to the written word and produce Christ’s character. Revelation that leaves pride, resistance, and self-importance untouched must be questioned. The word is the standard by which spiritual claims are examined and the mirror through which the believer learns to make personal adjustments. Commit your life to what God has said, and look for meekness, submission, and the expression of Christ rather than accepting a claim merely because someone calls it revelation. The fear of the Lord expresses itself through mutual submission. Status, titles, reputation, and a sense of entitlement can prevent believers from serving one another; reverence for Christ requires laying those claims down. Servanthood is proved in the willingness to obey, receive correction, and relate humbly to others. Let the teaching you receive lead to actual conduct instead of allowing an outward position or past achievement to excuse a refusal to follow the word. Noah heard God’s warning, moved with reverent fear, and built the ark. In the same way, respond to God’s promises and instructions by building up your own spiritual life. No other believer can perform that personal response on your behalf. Ask for a heart that trembles at the word, gives earnest attention to what has been heard, and practices obedience until holiness increases. Receive grace and mercy through communion, remain tender rather than hardening the heart, and allow the fear of the Lord to direct daily life.
