Becoming Bearers of the Lord’s Burden

• June 17, 2026 • 148 views

Come into fellowship with God to know his heart and become available for his purposes. Become a person who will carry the Lord’s burden for families, the church, your community, and Nigeria. Prayer must arise from the heart, and spiritual activity must be joined to reverence and obedience. Cut away distractions, work out your salvation with fear and trembling, and respond when the Word corrects your direction. Depend on God’s mercy and the life of the Spirit rather than treating worship as a performance or fellowship simply as a place to have personal needs met. Offer yourself willingly as a responsible child in God’s household. Grow as a child in God’s household into a trained, dependable person useful in his purposes, like an arrow in a warrior’s hand. Lead faithfully and offer yourself freely, as celebrated in Deborah’s song. Carrying a burden requires cooperation: no single leader can bring forth the complete purpose for an assembly alone. Give focused time to prayer for God’s will, submit to pruning and truthful teaching, and receive the Word with meekness. Replace gossip and delight in another person’s failure with intercession, and allow love to reshape anger, offense, selfishness, and negative speech. Pray with sustained attention for families and coming generations, asking God for understanding of each child’s calling rather than measuring a life only by education, employment, or marriage. Use the prophetic word as a basis for faithful spiritual warfare and record the instructions you receive so that you can act on them. Intercession then widens to Nigeria through the truths of God’s ownership of the earth, joint inheritance with Christ, and the church’s calling as light and salt. Pray for an end to kidnapping, bloodshed, and displacement, and for the protection and restoration of communities. Give thanks, participate in communion, and receive material resources with holiness, freedom from covetousness, and readiness to use them for God’s work.
