God seeks a whole nation of king-priests who live as sons and servants under his government. The royal priesthood joins priestly ministry with a governing responsibility that serves and feeds God’s people. The Melchizedek order is grounded in the power of endless life, and Christ is the pattern for growing into its expression. Receive the mind that was in Jesus: voluntarily submit to the Father, make no reputation for yourself, and learn meekness and lowliness. New birth begins a journey in which Christ must become Lord throughout the soul, transforming thought, will, desire, and conduct into a living expression of his life. Faithful and wise servants receive food for God’s household and give it in its proper season. They do not turn revelation into private gain or an empire. Lay aside malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and evil speaking, then desire the sincere milk of the word so that genuine growth can occur. Be faithful with material responsibilities while refusing to be possessed by material things. God examines the quality of the building, and trials expose the old patterns that must be removed. Let the revelation of Christ reveal your own condition, bring specific weaknesses to him, and submit to his correction rather than assuming that outward ministry proves inward maturity. The life of a willing bondservant is sustained through private intimacy with the Master. Give the Lord time, listen to his voice, obey his direction, and worship in spirit and truth. Prepare for the work of maturity described as the third-day season: a changing affection and value system, a readiness for the Bridegroom, and an inward supply that cannot be borrowed from another person. Value the grace already given, cultivate a prepared heart, and receive the Father’s discipline as part of growth. Draw near to God, take Christ’s yoke, and yield the whole life so that his character, wisdom, and life can be expressed through a mature people.
Father, form the mind of Christ in me and teach me to live as your willing servant.
Help me take Christ’s yoke, learn meekness, and crown him Lord over my thoughts, will, and desires.
Expose malice, deceit, envy, hypocrisy, and evil speaking, and give me grace to lay them aside.
Make me faithful and wise with both spiritual food and material responsibilities.
Purify my motives so that I serve your people rather than building a reputation or private empire.
Deepen my private fellowship with you and teach me to hear and obey the Master.
Prepare my heart for the Bridegroom; change my affections and develop a lasting inward supply.
Help me receive your discipline, bring my weaknesses to you, and exchange self-reliance for the strength of your Spirit.
Build us together into a mature people who express Christ’s life and serve under your government.
