Believe God’s testimony concerning His Son: eternal life has been given, this life is in the Son, and whoever has the Son has life. The Spirit’s witness is within the believer, and God’s testimony is greater than human testimony. Confess this possession of divine life repeatedly and confidently. Receive the redemption accomplished through Jesus’ blood as the expression of the Father’s claim over His children and the life by which they belong to Him. Read the promises to Israel with the consciousness that belonging to Christ makes believers Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise. Christ has broken down the dividing wall between believing Jews and Gentiles and made one new man. Receive Joel’s promise of cleansing as an expression of the Father’s redeeming claim. Look to God’s life for freedom from sin’s inheritance, and bring the whole person before Him in faith. Let the new identity in Christ displace fear of the natural bloodline. Take the Lord’s Table seriously and approach Christ’s flesh and blood in faith. Trust God’s cleansing to produce a transformed appetite that loves righteousness, holiness, and purity and hates sin and wickedness. Refuse fear of inherited patterns and confess that old things have passed away and all things have become new in Christ. Pray for His life to transform the whole person and for victory over sickness and inherited disease, while resting in the assurance that God is your Father.
