Stand Still, Be Courageous, and See Deliverance

• March 12, 2026 • 111 views

Draw from the well of salvation with joy, faith in God’s Word, and prayer in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit helps human weakness and gives direction when words and understanding are insufficient. The living water within the believer is a resource to draw upon in the face of struggle, rather than allowing outward circumstances to dominate attention. Seek God’s heart and ways, surrender to him, and bring the actual areas of weakness, family life, work, and spiritual pursuit before him. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Israel’s deliverance at the Red Sea shows that the threat pursuing a people does not cancel God’s intention to bring them out of bondage. Refuse fear and the temptation to prefer familiar slavery to the journey of promise. Standing still means trusting the Word and actively drawing from God in prayer, not manufacturing deliverance through natural strength. Keep looking to his provision until the obstacles and recurring weaknesses give way to the salvation for which you are waiting. Wait with courage until God’s salvation becomes a cause for gladness and rejoicing. Isaiah’s banquet promises the removal of coverings, the swallowing up of death, the wiping away of tears, and the removal of reproach. Apply that hope personally and corporately without growing weary because the season of prayer continues. The Lord strengthens the heart that waits, and those who wait on him need not be ashamed. Receive communion as a further occasion to ask for strength to persevere until the promised change is seen.
