Knowing Christ is the purpose of spiritual fellowship and the true wealth of life. Seek the spirit of wisdom and revelation, behold His glory, and allow His life to be formed within. Possessing the inheritance already given in Christ requires diligence and strength in the inner person; pray for one another to receive that strength. The mind of Christ relinquishes reputation, privilege, and self-importance for the Father’s purpose. Jesus made Himself of no reputation to redeem humanity and bring a family into God’s life. Follow that pattern by surrendering whatever prevents Christ from finding expression through His people. One Spirit joins believers into one body, one faith, and one hope. Differences in maturity and gifts do not make one believer possess a superior Holy Spirit or give anyone the right to dominate others. Receive the contribution of every member, honor one another, and let the Spirit remove the mountain of reputation. Humility must pass practical tests: accept correction, acknowledge weakness, apologize, and remain approachable. Ministers must learn Christ with the people they serve and cultivate relationships that can challenge their decisions. Read and obey God’s instruction continually so that influence, wealth, titles, and ministry success do not lift the heart above the brethren. Remove the high places that reproduce pride and control in church life. These include self-exaltation, treating God’s people as personal property, and inherited assumptions that center ministry on one person. Changing a seating arrangement or outward pattern cannot reform an unchanged heart. Pursue Christ Himself, the substance, and become the people in whom God dwells. The New Jerusalem is a people becoming God’s temple, illuminated by His life rather than human philosophy; engage that life and build according to revelation. Ask God to expose entrenched mentalities, cleanse domination and self-promotion, and form a broken, contrite heart that trembles at His word.
