The Commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus

• May 18, 2026 • 131 views

Salvation by grace brings us into the good works God prepared and into a walk that reflects Jesus Christ. Knowing him is expressed in keeping his commandments, receiving his truth inwardly, and walking as he walked. Ministry activity, public achievements, and the use of Jesus’ name are insufficient measures of intimacy with God. Let each instruction produce an obedient response, including the small and costly actions that expose pride and require repentance. God’s life is complete in what he gives; growth is the increasing room that life receives to govern the soul and find expression in character, love, and conduct. Keep the commandments of God and the faith and testimony of Jesus with patience. The inward work of God must become an outward walk that resists lawlessness. Drifting from known truth allows contrary desires and patterns to gain expression, while obedience, endurance, and daily surrender make Christ’s life visible. Receive the dealings that confront the old nature and refuse to measure spiritual fruit merely by buildings, ministry size, or miracles. The testimony of Jesus is carried through a life that accepts his workings and follows him faithfully; patiently cooperate with that process rather than hurrying ahead of his instructions. Build one another in humility, forbearance, and love. Partial understanding must not become a reason to compete, dominate discussion, or turn Scripture into an offense against a brother. Seek the living Lord together, allow others to contribute, and receive correction and the help of companions who can watch with you. Gather the inward supply needed for the journey instead of assuming that present knowledge is enough. Watch and pray, guard the community from division and the suppression of truth, and ask for the fullness of Christ to be expressed in this life. The goal is a people who are transformed within, faithful to his word, and able to stand before the Son of Man.
