My Father & I Part 2

• April 21, 2026 • 17 views

Receive the Father’s fresh mercies each morning and build a settled consciousness that God is your Father. Let that reality govern your reactions to circumstances, even when you are taken by surprise. Romans 8 presents a journey from childhood to mature sonship: spiritual adults learn to hear the Spirit, wait for His counsel, and follow His leading. Maturity grows through practice. Put prayer, fasting, love, and forgiveness into action, because repeated obedience strengthens spiritual growth. God has given His children the Spirit of adoption rather than bondage to fear. Approach Him intimately as Abba, Father, with the dependence and warmth of a child who needs love and embrace. The Holy Spirit bears witness within believers that they belong to God. Rest in this assurance of His ownership and care. As children, believers are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, sharing the inheritance and resources of the Father. Joint inheritance with Christ also includes sharing His sufferings. Be prepared for tribulation and rejection while remaining encouraged by Christ’s victory over the world. Confess your identity as God’s child and give thanks that He has not left you as an orphan but has placed His Spirit within you. Belong to Him with confidence and gratitude. Continue daily Bible reading, revisit helpful teaching, and hear God’s Word repeatedly so that faith is strengthened.
