Receive the Father’s fresh mercies each day with gratitude, humility, and joy, and look to His mercy in travel, work, school, and home. God desires a father-child relationship and has made believers His children through spiritual birth and adoption. The Father’s love provides a place of belonging for those wounded by rejection, absence, abuse, and family conflict. Recognize that painful behavior can have deep roots, and respond with compassion rather than harsh criticism. Bring those wounds into the love and comfort of God. Come to the Father with the vulnerability, trust, and openness of a child. If believing His love is difficult, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it and make it personally real. Receive Christ’s embrace, release burdens, and remember that He died for sinners and that the Father delights to give His children the kingdom. Be rooted and grounded in love, learning to experience the breadth, length, depth, and height of Christ’s love beyond what explanation alone can convey. Receive love freely so that you can love other people, including those who have hurt you. Practice the presence and love of God in ordinary life: invite Him into cooking, washing dishes, work, conversation, and meals. Cultivate joy, tenderness, and freedom from strife in the home. Give thanks for the resources He has supplied for life and godliness and for His pleasure in His people’s well-being. Bring emotional wounds and bodily sickness to Him in prayer, receive His care with faith, and reject the accusing voice that would hinder your confidence in His love.
Father, I receive Your fresh mercies for every part of this day.
Heal the wounds of rejection, absence, abuse, and conflict in my heart.
Holy Spirit, show me the Father’s love where I struggle to believe it.
Give me the vulnerability and trust of a child before You.
Root and ground me in love and deepen my experience of Christ’s love.
Enable me to love freely, including people who have hurt me.
Fill my home with joy, kindness, and peace, and guard us against strife.
Help me welcome Your fellowship in the ordinary tasks of each day.
Bring healing to my body and silence accusation that hinders confidence in Your love.
